You must be wondering why German national soccer team player Mats Hummels decided to spend his summers in Posedarje? Embark on a boat adventure with your host and discover the beauties of Posedarje and Novigrad Bay from a completely new perspective. In this sea voyage we will head from Posedarje to Zrmanja, while on your way back you will have the opportunity to take great photos of the two Maslenica bridges, the Podvelebit Canal, as well as the Hummels’ residence. Sailing the sea and looking at Croatia's largest mountain is worth getting up early for!

Boarding is set at 8 a.m. and the expected return is around 12 p.m. (It is possible to extend the trip for an hour if guests decide to take a dip in the sea).

Jeep photo safari on Velebit Mountain

Board our Jeep and get to know the Velebit Nature Park! Untouched nature and views from the heights towards the Adriatic Sea will leave you breathless.

• The excursion is suitable for all ages and is not physically demanding.
• Included: ticket to nature park, guide, drinks, food
• Start: 9 a.m. at the Posedarje waterfront
• Return: around 6 p.m. to the place of departure
• Availability: April 1st to November 1st
• What to bring: light hiking or sports footwear, small backpack, raincoat, windbreaker, sunscreen, cap, small bottle of water, camera, money, mobile phone

Short-term rides with plenty of photography breaks, refreshments, and lunches in a rural household. On our way to the household there are wild horses and cattle living in the area. We will rise to 1000m above sea level - the foothills of Tulove Grede, the location where the Winnetou movies were filmed, as well as the Croatian film “Što je muškarac bez brkova“ ("What is a man without a mustache"). We will also pass the road built during the reign of the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph where, in his honor, a neoclassical church was built. The waterfalls of the Zrmanja River are an imperative destination where you can take a swim, and finally we arrive at the spectacular panoramic view of the canyon of the Zrmanja River.

Nin

Once Nin was a Croatian royal city and one of the important cultural centers, as evidenced by many monuments of early Croatian architecture from the eighth and ninth centuries. The Museum of Nin’s Antiquities and Churches of The Holy Cross (sveti Križ) - the smallest cathedral in the world, are worth a visit. After sightseeing the historic center of Nin, head to discover the beautiful natural sandy beaches in the immediate vicinity of the city, which is 26km away from Posedarje.

On your way back to Zadar, visit the famous donkey farm - Dar-mar ranch where you can taste local products: cheese, homemade bread, wine - and don’t miss out on trying the donkey milk!

National Park Kornati

The National Park Kornati represents the most developed islands of the Mediterranean. Kornati has more than 100 islands, islets and cliffs, and with the Nature Park Telašćica the largest and safest bay on the Adriatic, where you can swim and enjoy the healing properties of the Salt Lake.

Visits to the National Park Kornati are organized daily from Zadar. It is a full day trip to see and experience the entire group of islands at Kornati. Due to its natural beauties, archaeological sites and biodiversity, the island group was declared a National Park in 1980.

Paklenica National Park

Her Majesty, the mountain. There are no nature lovers, regardless of whether they have climbing experiences or those who are skilled alpinists, who will not bow to the beauty and challenges of Paklenica with silence and gratitude.

Here are the highest and most amazing peaks of Velebit. Vaganski vrh (1757 m) and Sveto brdo (1753 m). Only experienced hikers reach them. However, Paklenica National Park rewards those visiting with the experience – regardless of whether they have any mountaineering experiences besides the desire to dwell among the mountains.

Plitvice Lakes National Park

Plitvice Lakes are the oldest and largest national park of the Republic of Croatia. With its exceptional natural beauty, this area has always attracted nature lovers, and was therefore declared the first national park in Croatia on April 8th 1949.

It is a wooded mountainous region through which, one below the other, sixteen beautiful lakes of crystal blue and green color are situated. The saddle process, which forms travertine barriers and creates lakes, represents a unique universal value that led Plitvice Lakes to receive international recognition on October 26th 1979, by entering the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Krka Falls National Park

Krka National Park is the second most visited national park in Croatia after Plitvice Lakes, and in recent years the number of visitors to Krka has been skyrocketing.

It is one of the most beautiful national parks in Croatia, and it is named after the Krka River, which flows within the national park.

Before or after the visit to the Krka National Park, it is definitely recommended to see the old town of Šibenik.
