The Stone Path of the Cross in Posedarje

In Posedarje there is a path recreating stations of the cross in nature, which is the most massive and by its material the heaviest in the world. There are many similar attractions elsewhere, but the one in Posedarje is the one whose stations of the cross weigh the most in total – more than a hundred tons.

This unique 2.5km long way of the cross is located on a hill above the main road in the centre of Posedarje. It starts at 80m above sea level at the Location Čelinka, at the foot of the Brisnica hill, and ends with a viewpoint at 200m above sea level, where under the blue sky there is a view of the Novigrad Sea and the Velebit mountain range.
