Traditional donkey race

The traditional donkey race is an indispensable part of the summer program of the Municipality of Posedarje. It has been held for over 50 years and brings together people from all over the county.

This is a real opportunity to get acquainted with these stubborn, but extremely noble and hardworking animals that, not so long ago, made everyday life easier for the people of Posedarje.

Before the race, donkeys wait in the park for you to meet them, and if you are a tourist, prepare the camera because there is a real party coming!

Tourists will have the opportunity to try the race themselves, and for the youngest ones, a special program has been prepared as part of the race.

Fishermen's evenings and concerts

There is a high probability that your evening walk along the waterfront will be complemented by the sounds of traditional music, because almost every weekend Posedarje hosts various local music performers.

You will experience the real Dalmatian buzz at fishermen’s evenings held in the center of Posedarje on weekends. Traditional Posedarje prosciutto, local wines, fish fresh out of the water and traditional delicacies are waiting for you to try them!

The Night of the Full Moon is an event that promotes the tradition, history, culture, customs and gastronomy of the Zadar region.

It is a festival of food, culture, traditions and customs of Zadar islands, coastal areas and the inlands.

city_games_Posedarje

City Games

City Games are sporting and entertainment event organized during the summer months with the aim of expanding the tourist offering and promoting socializing between cities and states.

Data on 150 registered teams and 34 different locations in 2019 show the popularity of the Games. Teams compete in modern versions of traditional City Games such as: flying water polo, tipping water (alka), water basketball, saving a female tourist, donkey racing, wine barrel racing and regattas. A lot of adrenaline, teamwork and unforgettable moments await you in the new season, and Posedarje has been a proud host over the past few years.

We are sure that you have heard about the most famous race in the world, and our accommodation is only 20 km from the start line!

All over the world at the same time - this race is unique.

In the Wings for Life World Run, everyone starts at the same time. All over the world! It doesn't matter if you're a professional athlete, recreational sports enthusiast or just a rookie. There's no finish line. Instead, there is an intercept vehicle that goes after the participants 30 minutes after the start of the race, reaching them one by one.

Everyone runs together for those who unable.
